START SERVICE
To open a new service account, call our office at (209) 895‐9493 or visit our office at 9501 Morton Davis Drive, Patterson, CA 95363.
We are open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
It may take up to 24 to 48 hours to process your new service request.

NOTE: Customers who request to activate service shall be responsible for any damage resulting from activation due to open or faulty piping and/or fixtures on the customerís property.

STOP SERVICE
To stop water and sewer service, please come by our office located at: 9501 Morton Davis Drive, Patterson, CA 95363 or call us at (209) 895‐9493.
Please allow 24 to 48 hours to process your stop service request.

DEPOSITS AND REFUNDS
A final bill will be generated and mailed to you after disconnection.
If a deposit was paid on the account, at the discretion of the District, all or any portion of the deposit may be applied against the final bill. Any remaining deposit balance will be paid to the customer within 45 calendar days.

DEPOSITS
All residential service customers are required to post a $250.00 security deposit with the District prior to the opening of any new service account.
If a bill is delinquent for more than forty‐five (45) calendar days, any customer who does not already have a $250.00 security deposit will be required to post the deposit with the District. A customerís service shall be subject to termination if the balance owing is not paid in full and the deposit made within 45 days of the date of the Districtís notice to post a deposit.
NOTE: No interest shall be paid on deposits. When a customer transfers service from one location to another within the District, the deposit may be transferred to the new account if the first account is paid in full.

REFUNDS
After the customerís account is closed and the final balance owing has been paid in full, any remaining deposit balance will be paid to the customer within 45 calendar days.
At the discretion of the District, all or any portion of the deposit may be applied against the final bill.

EMERGENCY SHUT OFF
There may be times when the Water District needs to shut off water service in your area due to an emergency. In such situations, you, the customer, needs to know the water systems in your home and take necessary precautions.
Some systems to check would be: water softeners, swamp coolers, automatic fountains, automatic ice makers. Review your systemís manuals or call the manufacturer if you have questions.
Faucets in use will flow once the water comes back on. Be sure to turn these off to prevent overflows.

PERSONAL EMERGENCY SHUT‐OFF
If you need water shut off for repairs on your property call the Water District office during business hours 9 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.  After hours call the Water District Hotline at (209) 892‐9259.
Note: Service charges may apply for emergency shut‐offs.

DELINQUENT SHUTOFF
All water charges will be due the 25th day of every month. If a balance remains after the due date, your account will be charged a $10 late fee.
Charges that are not paid 30 days after due date the District shall send one notice of termination, requesting payment within ten days, ď10 Day NoticeĒ.
If charges are not paid within the 10 Day Notice period, then the District shall send one final notice allowing the customer to pay the default within five business days, ď5 Day NoticeĒ.
If the customer fails to pay the default within the 5 Day Notice period, service will be disconnected on the sixth business day following the 5 Day Notice period.

RECONNECTION FEE
If your water service has been disconnected do to a delinquent account, you will need to pay the entire account balance including past due charges, current charges and any deposits.
A $50.00 Reconnect Fee will be charged to customers account to re‐activate service.
Payment must be received in our office at 9501 Morton Davis Drive, Patterson, CA 95363. You can pay by phone with credit card or come into our office during regular business hours. Payments received by 2:00 pm Monday through Friday will generate a work‐order for Reconnect same day.

DEPOSITS
Billing statements that are delinquent for more than 45 calendar days, any customer who does not already have a $250.00 deposit, will be required to post the deposit before service can be re‐activated.

IDENTIFY OUR EMPLOYEES
We want our community to feel safe, so we would like to help you recognize who our Western Hills Water District employees are. We have listed below how to recognize our District employees.

  • Our employees always wear a photo ID badge with our Western Hills Water District logo in plain view.
  • They wear a blue shirt with blue pants that have the neon orange stripe running through for easy detection. (Sometimes they will wear overalls with the neon orange stripe running through it)
  • They drive official vehicles clearly marked with our black‐and‐blue logo.
  • They will not ask to enter your home to collect a water sample from your tap.
  • They will never request or collect payment at your home.
